Christmas Day
Welcome to Lutheran Church! We thank God that you are here, and pray that God's Word will speak to your heart today. Visitors, we hope you will join us often as we gather around the Word. We want to know how we may serve you, so please introduce yourselves to those around you and to the Pastor. May God Father, Son, and Holy Spirit bless our time with him and with one another here in this House dedicated to his saving Name.

OPENING HYMN OF PRAISE Oh, Come, All Ye Faithful LSB, #379
Oh, come, all ye faithful, Joyful and triumphant!
Oh, come ye, oh, come ye, to Bethlehem.
Come and behold him, Born the King of angels!
Oh, come, let us adore him, Oh, come, let us adore him,
Oh, come, let us adore him, Christ, the Lord!
Highest, most holy, Light of light eternal,
Born of a virgin, a mortal he comes.
Son of the Father Now in flesh appearing! (R)
Sing, choirs of angels, Sing in exultation!
Sing, all ye citizens of heaven above!
Glory to God! Glory in the highest! (R)
Yea, Lord, we greet thee, Born this happy morning;
Jesus, to thee be all glory giv'n!
Word of the Father, Now in flesh appearing! (R)
Pastor: In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

A CHRISTMAS SONG OF PRAISE Now Sing We, Now Rejoice LSB, #386
Now sing we, now rejoice Now raise to heav'n our voice.
He from whom joy streameth Poor in a manger lies;
Not so brightly beameth The sun in yonder skies.
Thou my Savior art! Thou my Savior art!
Come from on high to me; I cannot rise to Thee
Cheer my wearied spirit, O pure and holy Child.
Through Thy grace and merit, Blest Jesus, Lord most mild,
Draw me unto Thee! Draw me unto Thee!
Pastor: The Lord be with you.
ALL: And also with you.
Pastor: Let us pray together to the Lord.
ALL: Almighty God, we celebrate with joy the birth of Your Son in human flesh! Through his coming we, who are by nature slaves to sin, have been set free! Give us grace to exercise our freedom in ways that will glorify You and bless those around us. We pray in the Name of him who came to be our Savior, Your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever! Amen.

WE SING WITH THE ANGELS Angels We Have Heard on High LSB, #368
Angels we have heard on high, Sweetly singing o'er the plains,
And the mountains, in reply, Echoing their joyous strains.
Gloria in excelsis Deo! Gloria in excelsis Deo!
Shepherds, why this jubilee? Why your joyous strains prolong?
What the gladsome tidings be Which inspire your heav'nly song? (R)
Come to Bethlehem and see Him whose birth the angels sing;
Come, adore on bended knee Christ the Lord, the newborn King. (R)
THE CHRISTMAS DAY SERMON:
(The Nicene Creed for Christmas Day formatted as you will receive the Services:)

THE CHRISTMAS DAY PRAYER
HYMN Let All Together Praise Our God LSB, #389
Let all together praise our God Before his glorious throne;
Today he opens heav'n again To give us his own Son. To give us his own Son.
(Women:) The Father sends him from his throne To be an infant small
And lie here poorly mangered now In this cold, dismal stall. In . . .
Within an earthborn form he hides His all creating light;
To serve us all he humbly cloaks The splendor of his might. The splendor . . .
He undertakes a great exchange, Puts on our human frame
And in return gives us his realm, His glory, and his Name. His glory . . .
(Men:) He is a servant, we are lords. How great a mystery!
Today he's given us his Word. No truer Friend than he. No truer . . .
He is the Key and he the Door To blessed Paradise;
The angel bars the way no more. To God our praises rise. To God . . .
THE OFFERING
Voluntary
AN OFFERTORY Come, Bring Him Incense, Gold, and Myrrh LSB, #370
Come, bring him incense, gold, and myrrh; Come, peasant, king, to own him.
The King of kings salvation brings; Let loving hearts enthrone him.
Raise, raise the song on high! The virgin sings her lullaby.
Joy, joy for Christ is born! The Babe, the son of Mary!
REGARDING HOLY COMMUNION. Members of sister Lutheran congregations are, of course, invited to join us at the Lords Table. Others are requested to consult with the Pastor before communing with us the first time. In this way you will help us be responsible in our administration of the Sacrament and you, in turn, will be blessed as you commune with us.
NOTE: In the center of each communion tray are a few glasses with grape juice wine for those who are on alcohol restrictive medications or wish to abstain from alcohol for personal reasons.

ALL: Our Father who art in heaven; Hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven; Give us this day our daily bread; And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; And lead us not into temptation; But deliver us from evil. For Thine is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory for ever and ever. Amen.

How that in Bethlehem was born The Son of God by name. (Refrain)

And with true love and brotherhood each other now embrace.
The holy Child of Bethlehem all others doth efface. (R)
